PRINCE2® 2 Day Practitioner

Course Outline

Overview

The Practitioner Examination Preparation workshop provides an opportunity to apply learning of the PRINCE2® methodology to real-life derived scenarios. The scenarios are in a similar format to that used in the APM Group Practitioner Exam and will be used to test the thorough understanding of the application of PRINCE2®. The Foundation Exam tests only the knowledge of the method itself, and this must be passed first before being able to sit the Practitioner Examination.

Prior to attending this event, Delegates are required to have passed the Foundation Exam (please contact us if you require information on Foundation level qualification). The objective of this event is primarily to apply previous learning of the method to various scenario situations – new learning of the method should not be expected. However the event provides an opportunity to review the method through a series of short refresher sessions and the trainer will be on-hand to provide feedback and guidance on practice questions, as well as answer any questions about the method itself.

Designed For

The Practitioner Workshop is designed for anyone who has already attended and passed the Foundation Event and wishes to receive advice and guidance in preparation for taking the APMGroup Practitioner Examination. The event is not suitable for anyone wishing to learn or substantially revise the PRINCE2® Method. The expectation is that all Delegates attending will already have reached the standard of knowledge required, and have succeeded in passing the pre-requisite Foundation Examination.

Anyone who has learned PRINCE2® through Distance Learning will benefit from the workshop, although it’s recommended that individuals learning PRINCE2® through SPOCE’s PRINCE2 Passport™ distance learning products should attend a dedicated Passport Revision Event.

Documentation

Delegates attending this event will be issued with the latest copy of the PRINCE2® Practitioner Assistant. All other documentation including the OGC PRINCE2® Manual and Event Prep CD should be brought to the event by the delegate.

Pre-course work:
This event does not require any pre-course work to be completed by delegates. It is advisable though that delegates commit some time aside to revise over the foundation course material, pre-event CD and OGC PRINCE2® Manual.

This intensive event is a practical workshop focusing on refresher sessions, discussions and various exercises based on different styles of sample Practitioner Objective Test Questions.

The Practitioner examination is an open book exam, taken at 9.00 am on the second day and the exam papers are sent to APM Group for marking. Results usually take approximately 6 – 8 weeks.
